The Old Town Battle Ground Association
Before OTBGA ever became a formal entity, a group of dedicated merchants and citizens banded together to turn a small plot of vacant land into what is now the lovely jewel of Battle Ground: Central Park.  This group of supporters was the forerunner of what later became OTBGA.
Located in the heart of Old Town, Central Park has played host to many events such as art shows and concerts.  It is also the site of the annual National Night Out celebration that happens every August in Old Town.  (Update:  National Night Out has been cancelled in Battle Ground for the calendar year 2010.  We do hope that funding will be available for 2011 so that this wonderful family event can continue.)
In 2007 our group raised funds for the design and placement of special street sign toppers to denote the Old Town boundaries.
In 2008, we took on our most ambitious project:  a large mural to be painted in phases on the north side of the Andersen Dairy Building.  The mural, entitled "Snapshots in Time" depicts a scrapbook with photos of our town's history from the early 1900s to present day.  As of July 2010, the mural is approximately  half complete.
